Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College now evolves as MB College of Engineering and Technology under Mohan Babu University from academic year 22-23, providing an open platform for diverse voices where teaching runs parallel to the real world and students are groomed to join the global workforce.
SVEC was established at Tirupati in the year 1996 with an initial intake of 180 students. The succeeding years saw the college grow exponentially. The intake during the Academic Year 2021-22 for the 15 B. Tech programs; 4 M. Tech programs; MCA Program and 3 Doctoral Programs stood at 2332.
The College is known for its quality initiatives which are amply reflected in accreditations by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for UG & PG programmes and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ Grade. The college participated in National Institution Ranking Frame Work (NIRF), 2020 and secured 184th Rank. The college is ranked in the EXCELLENT Band in its maiden attempt in ARIIA rankings 2021 under Private/Self Financing colleges (Technical) category. The college is one among the 49 selected institutions across India selected by AICTE for establishing IDEA Lab on the campus with a funding of Rs 1.13 Crores from AICTE, Host institute and Industry during the year 2021.
The Placement and Training Centre engages with students starting from their first semester through graduation by providing career planning and professional development workshops, corporate site visits, and a variety of on-campus recruitment opportunities throughout the academic year. For the batch of 2021; a record number of 1800+ offers were made with a highest salary package of 44 lakhs and an average CTC of 5 Lakhs/Annum. For the batch of 2022; a record number of 2200+ offers were made with a highest salary package of 58 lakhs from Google and an average CTC of 5.8 Lakhs/Annum.
The college is recognized as one of the top-ranked engineering schools in India and stands amongst the top 5 self-financing engineering colleges in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
