Research Aptitude: Meaning of Research, Objectives of Research, Motivation in Research, Types of Research, Research Approaches, Significance of Research, Research and Scientific Method, Research Process, Criteria of Good Research. Teaching Aptitude: Teaching methods - Classification, teacher centric and student centric methods; ICT in education - Objectives, Advantages, ICT tools for effective teaching and learning. Reasoning: Numerical and Verbal Reasoning - Number Series, Letter Series, Codes, Relationships, Classification. Logical Reasoning - Understanding the Structure of Argument, Evaluating and distinguishing Deductive and Inductive Reasoning, Verbal Analogies; Word Analogy-Applied Analogy, Verbal Classification, Reasoning Logical Diagrams; Simple Diagrammatic Relationship, Multi-Diagrammatic Relationship, Analytical Reasoning.
Syllabus covering all core courses of respective discipline at UG Level.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Full Time/Part Time Research programs in “Mohan Babu University” leading to the award of Ph.D in the following disciplines.>
Any Post graduate in M. Tech/ M.E./M.Sc./M. Phil./MBA/ MCA/ M.A./M.PEd in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks in UG and PG degrees.
A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC /Differently abled and other categories of candidates.
Selection will be based on written admission Test and interview
The applicant for Part-time Ph.D should:
i. Prove to the satisfaction of School Research Committee/Dean/HOD that his official duties permit him to devote sufficient time to research.
ii. Ensure that facilities for pursuing research are available at his place of work in the chosen field of research, wherever required.
a) The Research Aptitude Test (RAT) is conducted and the candidate has to secure a minimum of 50% in RAT to qualify for admission to the Ph.D program. [The syllabus of the RAT shall consist of 50% of research aptitude and 50% shall be subject-specific]
b) Entrance Test may be exempted for the Candidates with UGC NET (including JRF/UGC/CSIR NET/GATE/SLET/GPAT/National level examination) qualification.
