In India, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) is designed to develop character, comradeship, and discipline among youth for a better and greater country. NCC at MBU always strives for the growth of the students with the best training and guidance for selfless service. The training includes fostering nationalism and team spirit with the motto of developing individual personalities.
The MBU NCC Senior Division (SD) and Senior Wing (SW), Army Wing was established in September 2012 under troop No. 152, 29th Bn. (A), Tirupati, AP & T directorate. The Army wing functioning under the guidance and leadership of Caretaker Officer (CTO) – Mr. Shaik Nurulla, Assistant Professor, who has undergone the pre-commission course by NCC, India.
First and second-year students are eligible to enroll in the NCC unit for a period of three years. Girls have also been given vacancies to join NCC at MBU since 2012, and the total allotted strength including girls is 76. The training is scheduled on an alternating week basis as per the schedule prepared by the CTO, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the parade field located in the New Academic Block (NAB).

The NSS Unit at MBU aims the involvement of students on a voluntary basis in various activities of social service. Various social service programmes are implemented through regular activities. As an important component of education, the NSS is a part of the academic, social, and personal lives of students at MBU. It enables the young to actively give their contribute to the cause of the community and the nation, therefore assisting in the development of their personality. The NSS also equips students with the means to engage in a give-and-take atmosphere when it comes to society and ensures that the student learns to contribute and move ahead as a community. The NSS Unit at MBU aims the involvement of students to voluntarily in various activities of social service. Various social service programmes are implemented through regular activities. National Service Scheme (NSS) has been a part of MBU since its inception. More than the hundred NSS volunteers are involved in social activities in different areas of Tirupati and Chittoor District.
