The TECH NOVA Club of Mohan Babu University organized an event titled, “CODE – BUG – BYTE” on 26th December, 2024 from 10 P.M to 12 P.M at Room no 324, CSE Block. The event aimed to refine participants coding and debugging skills in a competitive yet collaborative environment.
The event was conducted by the Faculty Coordinator Dr. Konda Hari Krishna (Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering) whose wholehearted support and guidance helped the participants to contribute profusely to the event. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 58 students who actively engaged in discussions, presentations, and interactive activities.
Through a mix of straightforward coding tasks and challenging error-finding exercises, the event prepared contestants for future coding competitions while cultivating a community of enthusiastic developers. This engaging experience emphasized critical industry-relevant skills, encouraging participants to approach programming with creativity, precision, and problem-solving prowess. The event was structured into two exciting rounds. The first round focused on basic coding tasks, testing participants’ foundational programming skills. Contestants tackled problems involving functions, algorithms, and debugging simple code snippets, all within a limited time frame. This round emphasized quick thinking and efficiency, fostering an environment where participants exchanged strategies and insights, promoting teamwork and collaboration. In the second round, participants faced code snippets with intentional bugs, requiring them to identify and fix errors. This round demanded a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of coding logic. Contestants analyzed snippets for syntax errors, runtime issues, and logical flaws, providing them with practical exposure to debugging techniques and best practices for clean and readable code.
The Code – Bug – Byte event successfully bridged theoretical knowledge and practical application, leaving participants motivated and better equipped for future endeavors in the tech industry.
The organizer Dr. Konda Hari Krishna extended his heartfelt gratitude to the participants and the faculty for their active involvement and support, making the event a resounding success.
