The Tech Nova Club at Mohan Babu University in collaboration with the Infosys Springboard initiative, conducted a five-day Generative AI Workshop from 6th January to 10th January 2025 at Dasari Auditorium, Mohan Babu University. This initiative aimed to equip students with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), focusing on its fundamental concepts, real-world applications, and industry relevance. The primary objectives of this workshop were to introduce students to the core principles of Generative AI, to explore practical applications of Generative AI across various industries, to provide hands-on experience with popular Generative AI tools and platforms.
The successful execution of this workshop was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the the faculty organizers: Mr. D. Siva Kumar and Dr. Konda Hari Krishna and few Student Coordinators like Teja, Durgaprasad, Sravya extended their support to the entire Team. A total of 100 students actively participated in the workshop. The sessions were designed to be highly interactive, with live demonstrations, Q&A discussions, and collaborative problem-solving activities.
The workshop covered a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning experience. Some of the key highlights included: Introduction to Generative AI: Understanding its evolution, core principles, and significance and Applications of Generative AI: Exploring its impact in industries like healthcare, finance, entertainment, and research. Ethical Considerations & Challenges: Discussing responsible AI development, bias mitigation, and future trends. Practical exercises were performed using state-of-the-art Generative AI platforms and tools. Real-world applications, including image generation, text creation, and data synthesis for AI models. Interactive coding sessions, allowing participants to experiment with AI-based content
The Generative AI Workshop proved to be a highly insightful and enriching experience for all participants. Through this initiative, students gained a strong foundational understanding of Generative AI, hands-on expertise, and valuable insights into its practical applications. The workshop not only enhanced their technical proficiency but also encouraged them to explore career opportunities in AI-driven fields.
