Social Media Awareness Program ORGANIZED BY Rural Development Club School of Engineering, MBU
The Rural Development Club from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Mohan Babu University conducted a Social Media Awareness event on October 18, 2024, at Bandharlapalli Village. The event aimed at raising awareness about the safe and responsible use of social media, the session catered to residents of all ages, including primary school students, providing them with essential tools to navigate the digital world safely.
Guided by faculty coordinator B. Venkata Sai Trinath, along with student leaders B. Thrisha (RDC President) and K. Him Sagar Achari (RDC Vice President), the event covered critical aspects of social media usage. Topics included “Effective use of mobile phones”, “recognizing potential online threats”, and “protecting oneself from scams and other risks associated with social platforms”. The session was highly interactive, allowing participants to discuss and share experiences while learning best practices for digital safety.
This initiative not only empowered community members with practical knowledge but also underscored the importance of digital literacy in today’s connected world, promoting a safer and more informed approach to social media for both young and adult participants.
