Science Club of Mohan Babu University conducted an activity titled, “Forensic Quest: Decoding the Mystery” on 7th February 2025 from 11 to 12.30 P.M. The session unfolded among the students of SOLAS as they embarked on an intriguing journey into the world of forensic science. The activity aimed to provide participants with a hands-on approach to crime scene investigation, challenging their analytical and deductive skills.
The event was coordinated and organized meticulously under the competent guidance of the faculty coordinator, Ms. Vasiha Anjum The event witnessed the active participation of 20 students.
The activity featured a meticulously crafted simulated crime scene where students were tasked with determining the cause of death based on the available evidence. Equipped with forensic tools and guided by scientific principles, participants methodically examined clues, analyzed forensic evidence, and applied logical reasoning to piece together the mystery. Working in teams, students demonstrated their ability to: Analyze crime scene evidence effectively, conduct logical deductions using forensic methodologies. Apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios. Present well-reasoned conclusions supported by evidence. Each team was required to articulate their investigative process, explaining the rationale behind their findings. This aspect of the activity encouraged critical thinking, effective teamwork, and a deeper understanding of forensic analysis.
The event was met with great enthusiasm, fostering an interactive and dynamic learning environment. It reinforced the significance of evidence-based reasoning in criminal investigations, emphasizing the meticulous and scientific approach required in the field of forensic science.
By bridging theory with practical application, Forensic Quest: Decoding the Mystery not only honed students’ investigative skills but also inspired them to explore the complexities of forensic science with renewed curiosity and passion. Science Club extended its heartfelt gratitude to the event coordinator and the attendees for making the event successful one.
