To celebrate “International Women’s Day” and honor the spirit of womanhood, Sanskruthi Club, School of Commerce and Management, Mohan Babu University, organized an event titled “Shakti – Celebrating Womanhood” on 18th February 2025 from 2 P.M to 4 P.M at Commerce Block. This special event aimed to recognize and appreciate the strength, beauty, and resilience of women through creative artistic expressions. The objective of the event was to inspire and empower participants by celebrating the essence of womanhood, encourage artistic expression that symbolizes strength, beauty, and resilience, foster an appreciation for traditional and contemporary artistic talents within the university community.
The event was conducted under the expert guidance of the faculty coordinator Dr. S. Shyam sunder (esteemed professor of School of Commerce and Management). A total of 26 students from various departments enthusiastically took part in the competitions. Each participant was given 30 minutes to complete their Mehendi Art and Face Painting, demonstrating their creative skills while adhering to the competition themes.
As part of the celebrations, the following competitions were conducted, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their artistic talents: Mehendi Art Competition – Participants intricately designed mehndi patterns, symbolizing the essence of femininity and cultural heritage. Best Out of Waste Competition – Encouraging sustainability and creativity, students crafted innovative artworks using waste materials. Face Painting Competition – Participants expressed themes of empowerment, strength, and grace through artistic face paintings.
The event served as a powerful platform for students to express their appreciation for womanhood through art and innovation. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt acknowledgment of the participants’ efforts, reinforcing the significance of creativity in honoring the remarkable contributions of women to society.
Sanskruthi Club extends its gratitude to all the participants, faculty members, and organizers who contributed to the success of Shakti – Celebrating Womanhood. The event not only highlighted artistic excellence but also deepened the appreciation for cultural heritage and feminine strength within the university.
