The Instrumentation Society of India (ISOI) organized an activity titled “SENSOR in the DIGITAL WORLD“ on 23rd December 2024 from 3 P.M to 4.30 P.M at Room no 130. The event aimed to introduce students to the fascinating world of sensors, highlighting their working principles and emphasizing their importance in the rapidly evolving digital era. The activity sought to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, showcasing how sensors act as crucial intermediaries between the physical and digital realms by collecting, processing, and transmitting data.
The event was meticulously organized by Ms. N. Harathi (Assistant Professor of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering), who ensured the activity’s smooth execution and facilitated an enriching learning experience. A total of 36 enthusiastic students participated in the event, engaging in discussions and hands-on activities that reinforced the concepts presented.
Participants were introduced to various types of sensors, including their applications across industries such as healthcare, automotive, and IoT. The session explored the mechanisms behind different sensors, demonstrating their role in enhancing efficiency and innovation. Students interacted with sample sensor modules, fostering a deeper understanding of their capabilities and uses. Practical examples illustrated how sensors are revolutionizing data collection and decision-making processes.
