English Association Club Engaging Event, “Sharing Experience Of Pongal & Makar Sankranti Celebrations-2025”

The English Association Club of Mohan Babu University organized an interactive and engaging event titled, “Sharing Experience of Pongal & Makar Sankranti Celebrations-2025” on 21st January 2025 from 3 to 5 P.M at Room no 4320. The primary aim of this event was to encourage students to enhance their expression and communication skills by sharing their unique experiences of Pongal and Makar Sankranti. Through writing and verbal expression, the event sought to boost confidence, refine public speaking abilities, and help students overcome stage fear in a lively and supportive environment.

The said event was coordinated by the Faculty Advisor Dr. Sudipta Ghosh (Assistant professor of English). The session welcomed 43 enthusiastic participants eager to express their personal experiences and reflections on these vibrant festivals.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the organizer, Dr. Sudipta Ghosh, who emphasized the importance of cultural celebrations and personal storytelling in fostering a deeper connection to traditions. Participants were given an opportunity to write about their personal experiences and later present them in front of their peers. The session was filled with heartwarming narratives, ranging from traditional family gatherings, kite flying, and festive delicacies to rural and urban differences in celebrating the festivals. A dynamic and encouraging atmosphere allowed students to express themselves freely, making the event an enriching experience for all. The session concluded with constructive feedback and words of encouragement from the organizer, applauding the efforts of all participants.

The Sharing Experience of Pongal & Makar Sankranti Celebrations event proved to be a memorable and insightful session, providing students with a platform to express themselves confidently. It not only honed their communication skills but also fostered cultural awareness and appreciation among the attendees.
