Electro Affinity Club Technical Quiz Competition “Brain Power Battle (Decoding of BEEE with AI & ML)”

The Electro Affinity (EA) Club of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Mohan Babu University organized a technical quiz competition titled “Brain Power Battle (Decoding of BEEE with AI & ML)” on 07th February 2025 from 2 to 3.30 P.M at Room no 2403. The event was designed to challenge students’ understanding of Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BEEE) while emphasizing the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in electrical engineering. The primary objective of the event was to assess and enhance students’ understanding of fundamental BEEE concepts while exploring how AI and ML are revolutionizing the field of electrical engineering. The quiz encouraged students to think critically and apply theoretical concepts to real-world applications.

The Technical event was meticulously organized and coordinated under the guidance and the support of Faculty Advisor, Dr. Suresh Babu Daram (Esteemed Professor of EEE Department and student organizers who meticulously planned and executed the quiz rounds. The competition was open to B.Tech students, and an overwhelming 65 students participated, demonstrating their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

The quiz competition featured a series of theoretical and application-based questions focusing on: Fault detection mechanisms in electrical systems, Optimization techniques using AI and ML, Smart grid technologies and their advancements and Predictive maintenance and system automation. The engaging and intellectually stimulating competition provided a platform for students to showcase their technical prowess and innovative thinking. Participants tackled challenging questions, demonstrating their analytical skills and a deep understanding of BEEE concepts. At the conclusion of the event, the winner, Mr. Pavan, was felicitated by the organizers and faculty coordinators. His outstanding performance and technical knowledge set an excellent benchmark for fellow participants. The Brain Power Battle was a resounding success, fostering enthusiasm among students for emerging technologies in electrical engineering.

The event inspired students to explore AI and ML-driven solutions for real-world electrical engineering challenges. The competition bridged the gap between traditional engineering concepts and modern technological advancements, motivating students to pursue research and innovation in the field. The Electro Affinity Club’s initiative to integrate AI and ML applications into the understanding of BEEE concepts was met with great enthusiasm and participation.
