The Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Technical Association of Mohan Babu University organized an event, titled, IPL Auction 2025, on 6th February 2025 from 2.00 to 4.30 P.M at Room no 706 and 709. The IPL Auction 2025 was designed to simulate a real IPL auction, allowing participants to step into the shoes of franchise owners. The event aimed to provide students with a platform to experience the thrill of an IPL team auction, where strategy, teamwork, and decision-making played a crucial role.
The event was organized by the Coordinator Ms. Hema Sai Reddy. With 20 enthusiastic teams competing to build their dream squad, the event was a perfect blend of analysis, budgeting, and sports enthusiasm. The session witnessed the active participation of more than 75 students. participants showcased their analytical and decision-making skills
The challenge was to strategically bid for players while maintaining financial discipline and forming a balanced playing XI. Each team was given a unique team name, a set of retained players, and a fixed franchise budget. The competitive nature of the event made it highly engaging and interactive for all involved. Team Formation: 20 teams, each with a unique identity and a set of retained players. Budget Allocation: A fixed franchise budget was provided to each team. Auction Process: Teams bid strategically to acquire players and complete their squad. Decision-Making & Strategy: Teams had to balance financial constraints while building a strong playing XI. Final Team Showcase: Once the auction concluded, teams presented their final squad. The event created an exciting and competitive atmosphere, making participants feel like real IPL franchise owners. The auction required teams to collaborate, negotiate, and make crucial decisions under pressure. Participants learned essential skills such as financial planning, strategic thinking, and teamwork.
The IPL Auction 2025 was a grand success, leaving participants with an unforgettable experience. The event not only provided a fun and competitive environment but also enhanced students’ ability to make strategic decisions, work within budgets, and think analytically. The overwhelming enthusiasm and participation reaffirmed the importance of such interactive and intellectually stimulating events.
