Cosmetics Club Impactful Awareness Program On “World Cancer Day”

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Mohan Babu University, under the initiative of the Cosmetics Club, organized “World Cancer Day Awareness Program” on 10th February 2025 from 03:00 PM to 04:30 PM at Room No 506. The event aimed to raise awareness about cancer, its diagnosis, prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications to mitigate its impact.

The event was organized and coordinated by the Faculty Coordinator Ms. Mounika (Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmacy Practice). The event witnessed an active engagement of 46 students and 3 faculty members, making it a highly participatory and knowledge-enriching session. Students showcased their research and understanding through well-structured explanations and visual presentations that captivated the audience.

The event commenced with an insightful series of speeches delivered by students, highlighting the significance of World Cancer Day and its global impact. Participants actively engaged in discussions and presented well-researched insights on the history of cancer growth, its causes, and prevention strategies. The presentations were enhanced with the use of e-posters, chart diagrams, and PowerPoint slides, making the session more interactive and informative. Key points discussed included: The formation and progression of cancer. First reported cases and their impact worldwide. Major causes and risk factors contributing to cancer development. Preventive measures and lifestyle changes for reducing cancer risks. The importance of early detection and advancements in cancer treatment.

The World Cancer Day awareness program successfully achieved its objective of spreading crucial knowledge about cancer awareness and prevention. The event underscored the importance of education, early detection, and healthy lifestyle choices in combating cancer. The enthusiasm and dedication of both students and faculty made the event a grand success.
