Cosmetics Club of Mohan Babu University on the occasion of “World AIDS Day”, organized E-Poster Presentation on the topic titled, “Take the Right Path: My Health, My Right” on December 1, 2024 from 10 to 12 P.M. The event aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and emphasize the importance of individual health rights in combating the epidemic.
The Session was hosted by the event Coordinator Ms. Shaik Mubeena (Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical sciences) and Dr. Veema Kiran whose wholehearted support and guidance helped the participants to participate proactively. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 40 students engaging actively in a lively manner.
The event featured two segments: a Quiz Competition and an E-Poster Presentation. Quiz Competition was Designed to test participants’ knowledge on HIV/AIDS, including its causes, symptoms, prevention, and global efforts toward eradicate. The event fostered a competitive spirit while educating the audience on key aspects of the subject. Secondly, E-Poster Presentation showcased creative and well-researched digital posters created by students from 2nd and 4th Phar.D. posters highlighted critical aspects of the HIV epidemic, such as incidence, prevalence, prevention strategies, and the importance of understanding health rights. Students eloquently presented their findings and insights, demonstrating a deep understanding of the theme and its implications in public health.
The competition provided a platform for students to expand their knowledge on HIV/AIDS and its societal impact. Participants and attendees gained a better understanding of the challenges in combating HIV and the importance of informed decision-making in personal health management. It emphasized the broader goal of achieving health equity for all, aligning with global health initiatives.
The event not only fostered an environment of Team work and creativity among the students but also elevated their confidence and presentation skills. It was a remarkable success, showcasing the creativity, knowledge, and commitment of the participants.
