Capture the Mother Earth

September 30

The Raja Deen Dayal Photography Club of the Department of Civil Engineering at Mohan Babu University hosted an inspiring and dynamic photography event titled “CAPTURE THE MOTHER EARTH’’ on 30th September 2024. This creative and enriching experience brought together 45 enthusiastic students, all eager to explore and celebrated the beauty of nature through the lens of their cameras. The event aimed not only to nurture students’ artistic talents but also to foster a deeper appreciation for environmental sustainability. Participants had the unique opportunity to capture the essence of nature—its splendor, resilience, and fragility—while reflecting on the importance of preserving our planet. The theme encouraged students to connect with the environment and expressed their vision of nature’s beauty in a way that raised awareness about the urgent need for conservation.

In a fun-filled twist, the event went beyond just photography. Students were invited to give humorous and imaginative names to their photos, adding a playful and creative dimension to the experience. This light-hearted activity sparked laughter and camaraderie, making the event even more memorable for all involved.

Among the numerous stunning entries, five standout photos were selected and appreciated for their creativity, technical prowess, and ability to convey a message of environmental stewardship. These top entries were a testament to the participants’ skillful blending of art and advocacy. Beyond the fun, “Capture the Mother Earth” provided a valuable platform for students to enhance both their observational and technical photography skills. It encouraged them to view the world through a more holistic and artistic lens, inspiring a unique convergence of engineering and nature. Through this event, students not only honed their craft but also cultivated a deeper sense of responsibility towards the environment—one that will undoubtedly shape their future endeavors in both engineering and sustainability. Here are the glimpses of the event.
