BOOK VILLAGE PROJECT- Inspiring a Love for Reading in Pullaiahgari Palli
Our journey as part of the “Book Village Project” took us to the heart of Pullaiahgari Pallivillage, where we set out with a mission to ignite a passion for reading and to raise awareness about the transformative power of books. The visit marked the beginning of a meaningful relationship with the community, centred on storytelling, wisdom, and the enduring magic of literature.
A Day of Storytelling and Connection:
The day began with an interactive storytelling session that drew the rapt attention of both children and adults. This was more than a simple reading session—it was an immersive experience that rekindled an appreciation for knowledge, imagination, and the timeless values that stories can impart. The tales shared sparked curiosity and joy, serving as a reminder of the role books play in enriching minds and hearts alike.
Promoting Reading as a Path to Growth:
Through discussions with the villagers, we emphasized the importance of reading as a channel for imparting moral and spiritual values to younger generations. Recognizing the need for accessible literature, we invited the villagers to contribute Telugu books, particularly those with themes of spirituality and moral growth, to help build a valuable collection for the community. By pooling resources, we hope to provide the children of Pullaiahgari Palli villagewith an enriching pathway to learning and character development, opening new doors through the power of reading.
