B. Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is an interdisciplinary branch focusing on measurement, control, and automation in the fields viz. Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Power Generation, Process Control, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Food Processing, Bio-Medical, Bio-Tech, etc. Application of modern instrumentation techniques greatly enhances the productivity, quality, and reliability of the products, with improved stability, safety, and optimization of resources.

All the major R&D organizations like DRDO, ISRO, DAF, BARC, NRSC, etc., require the services of talented young Instrumentation Engineers for all their R&D activities involving highly sophisticated instrumentation systems. An Instrumentation Engineer is fit for both Hardware and Software Sectors. The first batch graduated in the year 2001. The program is accredited once by the NBA.

B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate course in the field of engineering which combines the study of electronics part for sensing the different instrumentation engineering. B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering cater the knowledge about creating, constructing, and maintaining control devices and systems of plants or machines. B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is a course combining motor skills and academic skills which carve out a career in various fields of electronics, measurement, and complex process understanding. Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is used to measure, research, install, develop, test, maintain and design various instruments.

Curriculum & Syllabus

Career opportunities

Instrumentation Engineering is a part of Engineering that deals with the study of the measurement of the flow of charge in automated systems and their controls. Through Instrumentation Engineering students learn to add sensors to the systems which have recorders, transmitters, displays or control systems. Instrumentation Engineering course is designed to understand the design development, installation and conducting equipment that are basically used to track machinery and controls of automated systems. The average fees to pursue Instrumentation Engineering courses is between INR 24,000 to INR 4,34,0000.
