Postgraduate Programs Offered:

Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

The Master of Physiotherapy program is specially designed to emphasize the techniques and methods used for physiotherapy in-depth, including both modern techniques and natural ones. The minimum eligibility required to pursue an MPT course is an aggregate of 50% in BPT from a recognized board or university.

At SPAHCS, we offer the following specializations in MPT:

MPT in Orthopaedics: Deals with the study of treatment techniques for the musculoskeletal system, including body muscles and bones. Subjects include sprains, strains, fractures, and post-surgery rehabilitation.

MPT in Sports: Focuses on the prevention and management of injuries resulting from sports and exercise participation at all ages and ability levels. Sports physiotherapists provide evidence-based advice on safe participation in sports and exercise, promote an active lifestyle, enhance athletic performance, treat and rehabilitate injuries, and support injury prevention and recovery.

MPT in Neurosciences: Covers the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neurological diseases using medical equipment. This specialization helps in treating patients suffering from neurological impairments like stroke, spinal cord injuries, and related conditions.

MPT in Cardiopulmonary Sciences: Deals with cardiological problems, aiming to improve the efficiency and healthy functioning of the heart.

Upon completing the MPT program, graduates can pursue rewarding careers as Physiotherapists in corporate hospitals, rehabilitation centers, polyclinics, gyms and fitness centers, or establish private practices.
