Farm Machinery Club Activity Report on “Calibration of Sprayer”

The Farm Machinery Club of Mohan Babu University organized an educational activity titled “Calibration of Sprayer” on 20th of November 2024, from 2.30 to 3.30 PM, at Farm Machinery Lab. This session aimed to equip students with practical skills essential for achieving accurate pesticide application, thereby fostering efficient pest control while minimizing environmental impacts.

The event was conducted under the competent guidance of Dr. Gorla Gayathri, Coordinator of Farm Machinery Club whose expertise and dedication ensured a fruitful learning experience for all participants.

The calibration of sprayers is a critical agricultural operation that ensures precise application of pesticides and other agrochemicals. This hands-on activity provided students with in-depth exposure

The session also focused on reducing chemical wastage and the potential environmental hazards associated with improper calibration. Students practiced these techniques by spraying water on the lawn at the front side of the Farm Machinery Lab, ensuring a safe and practical learning environment.

The activity Session witnessed the active participation of 20 enthusiastic students along with the Club Coordinators and the Faculties. Their participation highlighted their higher enthusiasm acquiring knowledge

The activity proved to be highly beneficial for the students. This experience has undoubtedly prepared the participants for real-world agricultural challenge. participants gained confidence in operating spraying equipment, sharpened their problem-solving abilities, and appreciated the importance of precision in agricultural practices. The event was a resounding success.
