Academic Presentation on “Quantum Computing – The Future of Advanced Problem-Solving” Organised by SCIENCE CLUB School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, MBU
Overview:
Key Discussion Points: –
Our student provided a clear distinction between Traditional computers, which process information in binary, and Quantum computers, which leverage quantum bits (qubits) to handle information in a non-linear, multidimensional space. This fundamental difference allows quantum computers to solve complex problems that are beyond the reach of classical computers. He discussed the inherent limitations of traditional computing systems, especially in handling large datasets and complex calculations, emphasizing the need for a new paradigm in computational technology.
Giridhar introduced the concept of Quantum Algorithms and explained their potential in revolutionizing various fields, including drug discovery, logistics, artificial intelligence, and cryptography. Giridhar concluded by discussing how quantum computing, as it matures, could become a cornerstone technology, driving innovation in numerous fields and enabling breakthroughs in complex problem-solving. The said event reflected a high level of academic engagement and a genuine curiosity for advanced topics in computer science.
