M. Tech in Machine Design is a full-time two-year postgraduate program that covers the essential concepts and procedures involved in machine design, manufacturing and related objects. The program is a branch of Mechanical Engineering that focuses on machine design using analytical, numerical, and experimental approaches.
The students learn interdisciplinary skills through electives, experiential learning, research publications, seminars, and project works. They are actively involved in interdisciplinary research projects on sustainable technologies. The main courses of this program are Mechanics of Composite Materials, Kinematics and Dynamics of Machines, Advanced Solid Mechanics, Advanced Theory of Vibrations, and Fracture Mechanics, Tribology and Bearing Design, Theory of Plates and Shells, and Advanced Machine Design. The students learn designing and technical drawing for mechanical devices, equipment, and manufacturing systems using computer systems.
